Background:

Jiawan Sea Wharf is a small commercial wharf located in the city of Hochiminh, Vietnam. The wharf serves as a critical transport hub for the local community and nearby businesses. Jiawan Sea Wharf handles a variety of cargo, including small containerized goods, bulk commodities, and general cargo. Despite its small size, the wharf is equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure to support efficient operations, including a small container yard and a warehouse. Jiawan Sea Wharf is an important contributor to the local economy, facilitating the movement of goods and connecting businesses to regional markets.

Project Situation:

Le-Strengthening completed a project to strengthen the beams and columns of Jiawan Sea wharf in Hochiminh, Vietnam. The project was necessary due to aging and sea water damage to the post-tensioned rebar.

Le-Strengthening conducted a comprehensive analysis of the problem and recommended a range of strengthening techniques, including the use of carbon fiber mesh, crack injection, and CFRP fabric. They provided detailed design specifications and worked closely with the construction team to ensure that the materials were installed correctly.

The project was completed successfully and on time, with no significant disruption to Jiawan Sea wharf's operations. The strengthening techniques recommended by Le-Strengthening were effective in addressing the structural issues, and the port is now better equipped to handle the demands of its operations for years to come.
